So here it is finished, and I have to say I’ve spent more on this refurb than I normally would.
I’ve done things like I’ve dipped all the internal doors which you’ll see and as we go into this room you’ll see that I’ve moved the night storage heater and the gas heater, and I’ve also dealt with the damp which was in that side wall that was caused by the dam roof being bridged by steps up to the flat next door. You can see I’ve put a radiator in here, it’s all been decorated, although the plasters drying out in areas, we’ll have to come back and just touch up the decorations.
I should probably have done this video once I put the carpets in because that would give it a lovely sumptuous feel but I think you get the idea of how it looks. Again taking out the night storage heater, put in a radiator, replastered bits and pieces, taken off all that horrible old wallpaper, and redecorated.
I have knocked down the wall between the WC and the bathroom, and I’ve retiled it throughout, I’ve put in a new bathroom suite, there’s the WC, the basin, there’s the boiler for the central heating which fits really snuggly in the bathroom, seemed to be a good place to put it out of the way, didn’t want to put it in the kitchen, over bath shower, nice screen there and heated towel rail which doubles up as a radiator which looks really smart, stainless steel so that’s really nice. Decorative as well as functional.
The kitchen’s where I did the bulk of the work so, again, radiator, that’s the lobby where the cooker used to be and now the sinks in there, and of course to accommodate all of this I’ve had to move the back door to where the window was and put in a new window. That was quite a big job because on the outside wall there was a gas meter which had to be moved so I could put the door there, but it means I’ve freed up all of this space on the side, so I’ve now got the cooker in here, low-level units, eye level units, space for a washing machine and all that kind of stuff, and the extractor fan.
And it’s just a much better use of the space, which means I get a much nicer kitchen. It’s only a small kitchen, sometimes people wonder how I can do a kitchen for less than £2 thousand but it’s not very big, I mean that’s the point, but it’s a very nice kitchen.
Again, in the back bedroom, redecorating, there’s a little bit of damp there where the plaster’s just drying out where we’ve done a little bit of replastering, radiator, and yes it all looks really good.

I’ll take you through everything that I did right so that you can copy me and do the same, and I’ll also show you everything that I did wrong so that you can avoid the mistakes that I made and so that you can progress in property and be far more successful, far more quickly than I ever was.
And this is based upon my own real-life experience, and it took me about four years to actually work out how to do property investing properly, but in the 200 pages in The Successful Property Investors Strategy Workshop, I’m going to show you all that four years knowledge condensed down so you can use it immediately.
And until next time.
