There’s one thing we all need to do, but not everyone wants to do it.
I’m ashamed to say, I’m one of them or, at least, I find it hard to do.
What is it?
It’s setting goals.
Like it or not, whatever you want to achieve (in property or in anything else) we (you) need to set goals.
When you set proper goals (in writing) you greatly increase your chances of success.
And even better, when you follow up setting your goals with making a plan, in writing of course, to achieve your goals, you become almost unstoppable.
So why don’t we all (want to) do it?
I think it’s one of those things which has become so mainstream, it’s almost a bit cliched.
Every self development and business guru goes on about it.
And it’s easy to switch off and think, I’ve heard all this before, I know all that.
But that doesn’t make it not true.
And, ironically, even they we have all heard it before, and even though we do all know it, it doesn’t mean we do it!
Believe me I’m saying this as much to myself as to you.
Which is ridiculous because one thing I have definitely learnt over the years is, when I set goals, I tend to achieve them.
So what should I do?
Set more goals, naturally. I’d better go and get busy.

PS. By the way, I’ve rewritten and updated my best-selling e-book, The Successful Property Investor’s Strategy Workshop, which is an account of how I put together my multi-property portfolio, starting from scratch and with no money of my own, and how you can do the same.
