I have to be honest, this is something which really winds me up.
When I hear someone say “you have to do this” or “you have to do it this way”.
Especially in property.
I really believe we find our own way in property investing.
We find our own ways to do things, and to achieve the results we want.
I know so many property investors who have done things differently to me, but that doesn’t make me right and them wrong, or them right and me wrong.
Ultimately we ended up where we wanted to be, but maybe not in the same way.
Perhaps this can be explained, in part, by property not being just a mechanical process (although processes do come into it).
So just because one way of doing it worked for one person, doesn’t mean that’s the only way of doing it.
If they try and persuade you that there is only one way of doing it, run a mile.
Here’s to Successful Property Investing.

PS. By the way, I’ve rewritten and updated my best-selling e-book, The Successful Property Investor’s Strategy Workshop, which is an account of how I put together my multi-property portfolio, starting from scratch and with no money of my own, and how you can do the same.
